"Nice car. Almost exactly the same as the 2008 model I traded for this one. The Sync system for the phone is great, but it is not inclusive enough in that the passenger can not be heard well when they speak. We haven't used the trip app, we have a Garmin GPS and it works great, so we just use it. I do think the Sync system in the background uses the phone for some communications that are car oriented, and not apparent to us. It causes the battery on the phone to discharge quickly, so we have to keep it plugged into the lighter to keep it running. I was told that the Sync system reports to headquarters on the status of the car, in order to let us know when we need an oil change or if something isn't working right and needs fixing. Granted the car is new, but everything is functioning OK as we have had no notices from headquarters. We have only put 2500 miles on the car, and will embark on a three day road trip in a month or so, but the car is great on the highway. We took a trip for Christmas and in the rain it performed very well. I am afraid that in a year or so, this model will go by-by in your car line, and that will be too bad for those of us who take long trips with family. A smaller car would not do for us.Anyway, we love it. Having a new car that is exactly the same as the one we turned in made our adaption to the new car simple. We are particularly liking the bench seats rather that the airline style of the older car. We take lots of people out for dinner, and everybody fits in comfortably. It is important for us to have real 4 wheel drive as we drive on beaches all the time. This car does very well in deep sand, so we are very happy. All in all we can say - GREAT JOB Ford. You kept a good thing, made it better, and we are happy campers."

  • "When we were negotiating contract we wanted to have the expedition coated for bug protection. We had the cost added to our contract. We were told the dealership would provide a coating and would add another coating when the service department had the capability to do so. Needless to say we relied on the salesmen to keep their word. We were told the bug removal coating would be provided by June. Mind you we purchased the vehicle in April. We called to complain that the coating that was supposed to be put on the expedition was not done. We had taken a short trip from Winter Haven to Vero Beach and literally had to scrub the surface to remove the lovebugs. Again we called to set up an appointment the first of July, and again we were told that your dealership could not provide the coating. If you cannot provide us with the service requested, we are wondering if other services will be provided since we purchased the service contract from your dealership. Is your dealership motto...Sell the vehicle and forget the customer?"

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
