Question: whistling sound (whooo) from A4

I have a 2002 A4 Avant 1.8T Quattro and it has a consitant whoooooooo sound when the engine is running. You can here it better on the left hand side of the car. When I turn the key to the ON position, it does a quick whooooo then stops. The whoooo sound won't be heard again until the engine is started. Any idea what the sound can be?

It could be a loose belt. You should have an Audi expert listen to it, they will be able to diagnose.
