Question: I cannot get the engine on my 1969 Mustang to start?

I am restoring a 1969 Mustang with a 302 V8 engine in it and i just can't get it to start. I have already replaced the fuel lines and fuel pump, rebuilt the carb, cleaned all of the spark plugs, and changed the oil, and bought a brand new battery but it still will not stat up. Any help would be awesome.
Thanks

Have you changed the fuel filter? Have you checked the sending unit? I'm not a master mechanic, but if your fuel filter is clogged or your sending unit is bad, the car won't start. Hope this helps!

Have you checked for spark from the plugs to a ground? Also fill up carb bowl with gas thru the vent tubes.

Is the distributor timing set properly? Plug wires and rotor okay?
Given the age of the car, a worn timing chain (stretched or slipped a notch) can also cause this.
There are many things to check, these are just a few.

Well, firstly is it getting 'fire'? You don't mention if it is. So, your trouble could be anything from improper timing, compression, fuel issues, points setting, condenser, coil and on and on. How about some more info. To check if your engine is getting fire remove one for the spark plug wires and hold it near the plug as some cranks the engine. But, you need to provide a lot more information.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
