Question: 98 base model 3000gt V6 3.0lt is making a rattle noise in 2nd and 3rd gear around 2000-2800rpms?
my car makes a rattling/clanking noise only when I accelerate in 2nd or 3rd gear and only when I'm at a low rpm. I've been to a few mechanics. One said it was was from using premium gas. Another has said it is the suction from the intake and it's just what it supposed to sound like which is complete bs. Since the car didn't make that noise when I first bought it. I recently put a new engine in it about 12000 miles ago regular oil change every 3k miles. I really dont know what it could be plz help. I really want this car to be perfect and reliable before I start upgrading it any suggestions on what to do first would be help full to thanks.
